Black Duck Corporation offers training for law
enforcement, government agencies, corporations,
armed and unarmed security. Training may be
conducted at our 2,200 square foot facility in New
Bern, North Carolina; or Black Duck Corporation
will travel to your location. Additionally,
tailored designed course can be developed for
your needs. Many of the courses offered by Black
Duck Corporation require the participant to
provide a "fit for duty" certification due to the
intensity of the training.
The
Black Duck Corporation uses a variety of products
in its' training division. We do not sell nor
endorse any particular product or manufacturer.
The
purpose of this training is to provide workers
with information about the OSHA Bloodborne
Pathogens Standard and the policies and standard
operating procedures the agency or company has
adopted to implement the standard. OSHA has taken
the Standard/Universal Precautions developed by
the Center for Disease Control and has developed
them into a standard that applies to every agency
or company that is involved in the exposure of
blood and body tissues. The purpose of the OSHA
standard is to ensure that workers' risk to expose
to HBV/HIV in the workplace is minimized.
Participating entities should have a company
policy to incorporate with this lesson plan. If
your agency does not, Black Duck Corporation will
assist in developing a policy.
